Development Update: Thursday, September 17
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

100 QUESTIONS (NBC) - Collette Wolfe ("Observe and Report") and Smith Cho ("Knight Rider") have both joined the cast of the midseason comedy, about "a young woman (Sophie Winkleman) looking for love who joins a popular online dating site." Cho will play "her business partner and best friend" with Wolfe as "another friend, a sweet kindergarten teacher by day and party girl by night." Elizabeth Ho and Joy Suprano played said roles in the original pilot. No reason was given for the recasting.

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT (USA) - Saffron Burrows ("My Own Worst Enemy") is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the veteran drama. She would play the new partner of Jeff Goldblum's character. Said casting is designed to fill the void left by the departure of Julianne Nicholson, who's leaving the show to focus on her family. The status of Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe however wasn't specified.

SEARCH FOR THE GREATEST AMERICAN RECIPE (Lifetime, New!) - ITV Studios and Parade Publications are developing a new reality series which will, you guessed it, search for the greatest American recipe. Celebrity chef Tyler Florence is on board to host the pilot, which begins production this weekend in Los Angeles. Said effort will "follow Florence as he travels to seven regions of the country to find unique homegrown recipes" with the "regional finalists [competing] in a cooking competition that would lead to the winning" recipe. Florence would also serve as a judge on the potential series which would also use Parade's magazine to create additional content for the show. ITV's Paul Buccieri and Parade's Randy Siegel are presumably executive producing.

UNTITLED DAVE REYNOLDS PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Dave Reynolds ("Finding Nemo") has landed a script order from the network for a new comedy about "four guys on an extended road trip." The journey would "play out over the course of a season, as they confront personal issues - including how to handle their wives and girlfriends back home." 20th Century Fox Television is the studio attached with Generate's Jordan Levin, Pete Aronson and Jared Hoffman executive producing alongside Reynolds.
