PARENTHOOD (NBC) - Monica Potter ("Trust Me"), Sam Jaeger ("Eli Stone") and Bonnie Bedelia are all on track to join the cast of the drama pilot, about four siblings (Peter Krause, Maura Tierney, Erika Christensen, Dax Shepard) struggling with parenthood. Bedelia will play Camille, the clan's matriarch, with Potter as Kristina, the wife of Peter Krause's character, and Jaeger as Joel, the stay-at-home husband of Christensen's character. Potter takes over for the departing Diane Farr, who apparently could not make the pilot's schedule work with her duties on Showtime's "Californication." Thomas Schlamme is helming the Universal Media Studios/Imagine Television-based hour from a script by Jason Katims.
WAITING TO DIE (CBS) - Aussie Josh Lawson has scored a lead role on the comedy pilot, about two men (T.J. Miller, Lawson) who are happy with their lives, no matter how bad things might look from the outside. He'll play Jeff, one of the guys, in the project, which comes from the Sony Pictures Television-based Tantamount. Lawson replaces Nick Thune in said role, however no reason was specified for the change. Ted Wass is helming the half-hour from script by Chad Kultgen and Will Sasso. Sasso and Lawson co-starred in last year's pilot "Spaced" for FOX.
