Netflix presents the teaser trailer for LALIGA: All access. Premiere on July 19th
Netflix presents the official teaser trailer for the first sports docuseries in Spain, LALIGA: All Access, which will premiere on July 19th on the streaming platform.
LALIGA is more than football: it is passion, it is emotion and it is the strength of all the clubs and their fans. LALIGA is decided on the field, but it is also played off the field: in the locker room, in the stands, on the outskirts of the stadium, on match day. In this docuseries, we will experience first-hand the trajectory of Girona, the great revelation of this season, as well as other clubs and other stories with a beginning and an end, such as those of Rakitic or Muniaín, among other, who have said goodbye to their careers at Sevilla and Athletic Club in this 2024. We will also see up close how players and fans live the great derbies of the country and, of course, the Clásico.
Álvaro Díaz, director of non-fiction at Netflix Spain says 'Netflix is excited to show the world the stories of the sport and its protagonists as they have never been seen before. Spanish football is a world reference and thanks to the unprecedented and exclusive access to LALIGA we have an incredible opportunity to entertain long-time fans and reach new viewers.'
Alex Martínez Roig, executive producer of the docuseries alongside Juan Gordon, both at Morena Films, states, 'I am very satisfied with this project. It is the first time that one of the major world football leagues has dared to tackle a series like this. And Netflix is going to be the best showcase to enjoy this journey behind the scenes of Spanish football. You will see the diversity and strength of LALIGA; the enormous bond between fans and their clubs; the pressure experienced by footballers and coaches beyond the matches. We wanted to humanize the athletes, talk to them about issues such as mental health, ageism, resurgence from failure, commitment to colors and a city. It has been a challenging, very enriching experience, impossible to carry out without the talent of the Morena team, the great complicity of all the clubs, and the involvement and trust of LALIGA itself.'
Jorge de la Vega, Executive General Manager of LALIGA, adds: 'LALIGA is entertainment, drama, competitiveness... and all these feelings will be shown in this docuseries that we are so proud of. Thanks to this Netflix and Morena Films production, all LALIGA fans around the world will be able to enjoy the intra-histories of the teams and experience from the inside how a season full of surprises and emotions unfolds. And it will also serve as a showcase for the culture and diversity of our country, thus encouraging the international promotion of Spain'.
The documentary series will focus on the 2023-2024 LALIGA Competition. One of the top football competitions in the world, it is a battle between clubs with a unique identity that they will defend throughout the season with their strengths and weaknesses. Similar to Netflix's growing slate of sports programming such as Formula 1: Drive to Survive, Break Point, Six Nations, the series will give unprecedented access to everything that happens in the Professional Football League behind the scenes and the more personal stories of one of the most followed leagues in the world.
