DESCRIPTION: (from MTV's press release, October 2013) MTV today became the first network to pre-release an entire season of a series exclusively on an app. Beginning now, fans can watch all 12 episodes of the new docu-drama "Wait 'Til Next Year" via the MTV app, available on iPhone, iPad and Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members in the U.S., a week before the television premiere on Friday, November 1 at 8pm ET/PT. MTV's "Wait 'Til Next Year" follows one season on and off the football field for the "Bad News Bears" like loveable Lincoln Park Railsplitters, a team who have lost 43 consecutive games over the course of 5-year losing streak. In a nod to the tradition of fall high school football, the series will air Friday nights on MTV, as fans will get to know the players, cheerleaders, parents and fans who are all on a collective mission to do the one thing no one expects them to do: win. But it's about more than the game. From dating relationships and struggles fitting in, to losing weight and family drama, they deal with the growing pains of high school while uniting first as friends, then as a team and finally as a school hoping to start a new legacy at Lincoln park. |
