DESCRIPTION:
(from truTV's press release, January 2018) Comedian Guy Branum (The Mindy Project, Chelsea Lately) is back with 16 all-new first season episodes of his outrageous mashup comedy series Talk Show the Game Show. Based on Branum's popular live comedy show, the series is a boisterous combination of two beloved television formats that pits celebrities against each other to vie for the title of "Best Guest of the Night." Each week, guests square off, racking up points for the name drops, project plugs and political grandstanding that are the bread and butter of every talk show. The difference is that on this show it literally counts! Also returning this year are the series' comedic panel of judges including Emmy(R) Award-winning writer and host of the popular podcast "My Favorite Murder," Karen Kilgariff, and author and journalist Casey Schreiner. The judges give the real-time reactions we all want during a talk show appearance: roasting mediocre guests and applauding what the best guests did right. |
