DESCRIPTION: (from Sundance Now's web site, August 2024) John F. Kennedy and Frank Sinatra were two of the biggest names in 1960s America when they met and bonded at the iconic Mafia-run Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. Their shared love for partying and womanizing was infamous; Sinatra provided Hollywood women and glamour, while Kennedy offered the class of high-society. With Sinatra's A-list fame and the support of their criminal connections, Kennedy became President in 1960. Yet despite helping him into the White House, the Chicago Outfit crime syndicate became a target of the Kennedy administration and The President cut all links with the Mob including Sinatra. The pair never spoke again. This is the extraordinary true story of the friendship between two of the 20th century's greatest icons: how they met, the women and secrets they shared, and how it all went so horribly wrong. |
