DESCRIPTION:
(from NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's press release, October 2014) NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution hit talk show franchises "Maury," "The Jerry Springer Show" and "The Steve Wilkos Show," have all been sold through September 2018 to station groups including Tribune, Sinclair, Hearst, Weigel and Sunbeam, it was announced today by Ed Swindler, President, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution and NBC Broadcast Operations. All three talk shows have been extended for an additional two seasons beyond the existing deal which will keep them in national syndication for at least four more seasons through 2018. The shows now have been sold for the additional two seasons (2016-2018) to top stations representing over 65% of the U.S. which include WPIX New York, KTLA Los Angeles, WGN Chicago and WCIU Chicago, WPHL Philadelphia, WLVI Boston, KDAF Dallas, WPGH Pittsburgh, WTTE Columbus and WKCF Orlando. |
