DESCRIPTION: (from Netflix's press release, March 2024) Behaviorist and criminologist Lejla returns to a small depopulated community somewhere in Sweden. She has dual feelings about the place. Somewhere in the small town, she has been held hostage as a young girl by an unknown perpetrator. But it is also the place where she finally found a home, with the now retired police officer Valter. When Lejla now returns, it doesn't take long before a girl disappears. As Valter and Lejla dig into the disappearance, she is also forced to dig into her own darkness - a place she has long tried to stay away from. Time will show that the whole village is carrying secrets. Could it be that history is repeating itself?
