Top 10 Week of Aug. 26: 'Incoming' and 'Worst Ex Ever' Land the #1 Spots
The raunchy teen comedy Incoming ruled the school and the English Films List, claiming the top spot with 16.9M views, making it the most-watched title of the week. Glenn Close was trending all weekend for her stunning performance in Lee Daniels' horror thriller The Deliverance, which debuted in third place with 14.5M views. Returning to the list were the action-packed comedy The Union starring Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg, which skidded into second (16.8M views), and the action-thriller Tòkunbò (Nigeria) which smuggled into fourth (5.3M views).
Charlie Cowell's furiously fun masterpiece KAOS starring Jeff Goldblum as the ruthless king of the Gods, Zeus, debuted in fourth place on the English TV List with 3.4M views. In this dark comedy, the Gods of Olympus are just one big dysfunctional family - unaware of the mortals with the power to bring them down.
Fans felt the love across multiple genres on the English TV List thanks to a romantic comedy, a standup special, and a reality series. Season 4, Part 1 of Emily in Paris swooned into #2 with 6.5M views, ahead of the release of Part 2 on Sept. 12. Adam Sandler's silly, sentimental, and slam-dunk latest comedy special, Adam Sandler: Love You, debuted at #5 (2.4M views). The emotional Love is Blind: UK reunion sent the beloved reality series back to the list at #9 (2M views). Elsewhere, the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy claimed #8 (2.1M views).
Documentaries had another strong showing this week. Worst Ex Ever debuted atop the English TV List with 8.4M views, with American Murder: Laci Peterson claiming third (4.1M views) and Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War lassoing seventh (2.2M views). On the English Films List, Untold: The Murder of Air McNair took sixth (4M views), and Untold: Sign Stealer swiped seventh (3.5M views).
The sci-fi thriller sci-fi Kalki 2898 AD (India) claimed #1 on the Non-English TV List with 2.6M views. New list entrants included the thriller Untamed Royals (Mexico) at #2 (2.4M views) and the heartfelt drama (Un)lucky Sisters (Argentina) at #3 (1.3M views).
The emotional thriller The Accident (Mexico) claimed the top spot on the Non-English TV List for the second week in a row, racking up 11.9M views. Making their list debuts were the thriller IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack (India) in second (4.1M views), the soapy drama Breathless (Spain) in third (3.8M views), the animated action-drama Terminator Zero (Japan) in sixth (1.7M views) and the intimate drama Baby Fever (Denmark) in ninth (1.4M views).
