SMASH HIT HOME RENOVATION COMPETITION SERIES 'ROCK THE BLOCK' DELIVERS STRONG SEASON RATINGS FOR HGTV
New York [April 22, 2024] The latest season of HGTV's smash hit competition series Rock the Block delivered the network's highest-rated series to-date in 2024, averaging a .61 live plus three-day among Adults 25-54 and a .84 live-plus three-day rating among Women 25-54. Attracting 13.6 million total viewers since it premiered on Monday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the seven-episode season boasted strong double-digit ratings gains of 53 percent among Adults 25-54 and 58 percent among Women 25-54 over the prior six weeks.
Rock the Block also delivered a large upscale audience, averaging a .71 L3 rating among Upscale Adults 25-54 and a .97 L3 rating among Upscale Women 25-54. The ratings garnered respective triple-digit increases of 154 percent and 169 percent over previous six-week levels in the key demos. And, in its Monday timeslot, the series ranked as the #2 non-news/sports cable program among Upscale Women 25-54 and a top 5 non-news/sports cable program among Women 25-54 and Upscale Adults 25-54.
Fans were highly engaged with Rock the Block content on HGTV's digital platforms, delivering 2.8 million video views on HGTV's Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, TikTok and Threads and more than 3.8 million page views on HGTV.com.
Hosted by popular carpenter, craftsman and design expert Ty Pennington (Battle on the Beach), the new season of Rock the Block featured four returning teams battling for redemption as they competed to add the most value to waterfront homes in Treasure Island, Florida. The pressure was at an all-time high as the HGTV powerhouse duos faced-off in an epic renovation showdown to settle old scores and achieve victory, including bragging rights and a street named in their honor. Participating network stars this season included: Bryan and Sarah Baeumler (Battle on the Beach); Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas (Bargain Block); Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses); and Page Turner and Mitch Glew (Fix My Flip).
