HGTV DELIVERS ITS LARGEST-EVER MONTH-OVER-MONTH RATINGS GAINS IN JANUARY 2024
AND TOUTS DOUBLE-DIGIT RATINGS INCREASES OVER THE PRIOR SIX WEEKS
New York [January 31, 2024] HGTV is closing out January 2024 with a bang - delivering its largest month-over-month ratings gains in its history, as well as achieving a 25 percent increase over 4Q23 ratings and a 36 percent boost over the prior six weeks. Multiple series garnered double-digit ratings growth this month, including My Lottery Dream Home (David Bromstad) which boasted a 72 percent increase over the prior six weeks and scored a .63 live-plus-three-day rating among Adults 25-54 for its Jan. 26 episode. Compared to the prior six weeks among Adults 25-54, Home Town (Ben and Erin Napier) delivered a 71 percent increase, Celebrity IOU (Drew and Jonathan Scott) was up 89 percent and Fixer to Fabulous (Dave and Jenny Marrs) saw a 33 percent lift.
"After wrapping up a successful 2023 in which HGTV ranked as a top 10 non-news/sports ad-supported cable network every night of the week among two highly coveted demos, Adults 25-54 and Women 25-54, it's no surprise the network continues to surpass benchmark after benchmark," said Loren Ruch, Head of Content, HGTV. "The noteworthy performance in January 2024 was driven by a strong roster of returning favorites and a solid programming strategy that attracts millions of viewers to the network every single night."
Popular series Help! I Wrecked My House (Jasmine Roth), Married to Real Estate (Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson), Why The Heck Did I Buy This House? (Kim Wolfe) and House Hunters rounded out the list of programs that boosted viewership this month, all delivering double-digit ratings gains for HGTV.
