Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince" Puts CBS on Top

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/21/20):

CBS (6.883 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) still on top on Tuesday with a repeat "NCIS" (7.663 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and the special "Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince" (6.494 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1).

NBC (3.403 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) was the number two draw with repeats of "Ellen's Game of Games" (4.254 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2), "Ellen's Game of Games" (3.689 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "New Amsterdam" (2.267 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8).

Sharing the silver was FOX (2.804 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) with a repeat of "The Masked Singer" (2.665 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #7) plus the series finale of "Empire" (2.943 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2).

Next up was ABC (2.381 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) with second runs of "The Conners" (3.805 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #6), "Bless This Mess" (2.478 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8), "Mixed-ish" (1.935 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8) and "Black-ish" (1.731 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) alongside a new "For Life" (2.170 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8).

And finally, the return of "The Flash" (1.119 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (0.665 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) closed out the night on The CW (0.892 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

CBS (6.789 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) then was the most-watched broadcaster with repeats of "NCIS" (7.463 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), another "NCIS" (6.480 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and a new "NCIS: New Orleans" (6.426 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

Next up was ABC (3.318 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) with its mix of "American Housewife" (4.007 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2), a repeat "Bless This Mess" (3.199 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8), "Black-ish" (3.209 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), "Bless This Mess" (3.575 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and the debut of "1969" (2.959 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.388 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) offered up originals from "MasterChef Junior" (2.946 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "Mental Samurai" (1.830 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12).

And finally, The CW (1.335 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the night with a new "The Flash" (1.622 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) and the season finale of "Roswell, New Mexico" (1.048 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
