Yellowstone Season Two is Cable's Most-Watched Summer Series

Unscripted Hit The Last Cowboy Grows Double Digits From Series Premiere in Key Demos

New York, NY, August 5, 2019 - Paramount Network's hit drama Yellowstone recorded series high L+3 ratings with episode 206 in the following key demos: P18-49 (1.9), M18-49 (2.0) and M25-54 (2.8). The July 31 episode ranked as the #1 entertainment telecast of the night across cable and broadcast, averaging 4.9 million total viewers. Yellowstone also recorded a 2.7 P25-54 L+3 rating, up +11% from the previous week and +7% from the season average.

Yellowstone continues its run as cable's most-watched summer series and is up double digits across all key demos compared to season one to-date averages. Through six episodes, Yellowstone season two is averaging a 1.78 rating with P18-49 (up +49% vs. season one to date); 2.56 with P25-54 (+46%); 1.84 with M18-49 (+44%); 1.72 with W18-49 (+54%); 2.64 with M25-54 (+39%); 2.47 with W25-54 (+53%), and 4.9 million L+3 total viewers (up +10%).

Following Yellowstone on July 31, hit unscripted series The Last Cowboy achieved double digits L+3 ratings growth in key demos, compared to the series premiere the previous week. Episode 102 recorded a .33 P18-49 rating (+19% from the previous week); .36 W18-49 rating (+29%); .49 P25-54 rating (+22%); .49 W25-54 rating (+24%); and a .50 M25-54 rating (+20%). The Last Cowboy ranked #2 on all of cable in its time slot among P25-54 (rank based on coverage rating).

Both The Last Cowboy and Yellowstone come to Paramount Network from Academy Award(R)-nominee Taylor Sheridan, writer of Hell or High Water and Sicario and writer/director of Wind River. New episodes of Yellowstone premiere Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by new episodes of The Last Cowboy at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Paramount Network recently ordered a 10-episode third season of Yellowstone. The series stars world-renowned actor and Oscar(R)-winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Yellowstone is co-created by critically-acclaimed, Oscar(R)-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. The impressive cast list for Yellowstone also includes Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham. Neal McDonough joined the cast for season two.

Yellowstone headlines Paramount Network's scripted roster, which also includes the following upcoming projects: Coyote, from Michelle MacLaren and starring Michael Chiklis; Paradise Lost (working title), from Rodes Fishburne, Arika Lisanne Mittman and John Lee Hancock; 68 Whiskey, from Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment; Sexy Beast, a series adaptation of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning feature film; as well as the new Darren Star series, Emily in Paris starring Lily Collins.
