Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: Another Week, Another NBC Demo Victory

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/19/19):

NBC (6.419 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) remained the demo champ on Tuesday with its mix of "Ellen's Game of Games" (6.091 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2), "This Is Us" (7.555 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "New Amsterdam" (5.609 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4).

CBS (9.567 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then was the silver draw with its trio of "NCIS" (12.667 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3), "FBI" (9.044 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (6.990 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

Next up was ABC (3.360 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its lineup of "American Housewife" (4.365 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "The Kids Are Alright" (3.414 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9), "Black-ish" (2.892 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9), "Splitting Up Together" (2.421 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "The Rookie" (3.535 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.448 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up the penultimate weeks of "Lethal Weapon" (3.276 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "The Gifted" (1.621 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13).

And finally, The CW (0.657 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) opted for repeats of "The Flash" (0.684 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T14) and "Roswell, New Mexico" (0.631 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T14).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 3.2/9; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.4/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/20/18):

NBC (16.839 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1) took home another victory on Tuesday with the primetime portion of its "2018 Winter Olympics" (16.839 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1) coverage.

The silver then went to ABC (2.676 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) with the penultimate "The Bachelor Winter Games" (3.241 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) and a new "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (1.546 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9).

Next up was CBS (5.934 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with repeats of "NCIS" (7.145 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3), "Bull" (5.415 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.241 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

FOX (2.058 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) likewise opted for second runs of "Lethal Weapon" (2.551 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "LA to Vegas" (1.707 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "The Mick" (1.423 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).
