Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Opens Season on Top with "The Voice," "Manifest"

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (9/24/18):

NBC (9.812 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) opened the 2018-19 season on top with the return of "The Voice" (9.562 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3) followed by the launch of "Manifest" (10.310 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2).

CBS (9.014 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was the silver draw with the respective premieres of "The Big Bang Theory" (12.714 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1), "Young Sheldon" (10.546 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #4), "Magnum P.I." (8.084 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7) and "Bull" (7.329 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

Next up was FOX (5.701 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) with the season debut of "The Resident" (4.846 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8) followed by night two of "9-1-1" (6.556 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5).

Meanwhile, ABC (7.978 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) offered up the season premieres of "Dancing with the Stars" (8.075 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8) and "The Good Doctor" (7.784 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6).

And finally, new episodes of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.901 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.699 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) plus a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.618 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (0.780 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (10.413 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) kicked off the 2017-18 season on top with the openers to "The Big Bang Theory" (16.965 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.9, #1), "Young Sheldon" (16.572 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.7, #2), "Kevin Can Wait" (10.099 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5), "Me, Myself & I" (7.392 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.7, #6) and "Scorpion" (5.726 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9).

NBC (8.969 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then was a close second with the return of "The Voice" (10.368 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3) followed by the launch of "The Brave" (6.171 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8).

Next up was ABC (9.987 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (9.072 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7) and the premiere of "The Good Doctor" (11.818 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.937 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up the season finale of "So You Think You Can Dance" (1.937 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

And finally, a repeat "Supergirl" (0.885 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and a special "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.936 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (0.910 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
