Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Dramas Hold Onto Top Demo Spot

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/31/18):

FOX (4.835 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) held onto the top demo spot on Wednesday thanks to new episodes of "The X-Files" (3.548 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and "9-1-1" (6.123 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1).

NBC (6.160 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a tight second with originals from "The Blacklist" (6.178 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (5.593 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) and "Chicago PD" (6.708 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3).

Next up was CBS (6.164 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and new episodes of "The Amazing Race 30" (6.543 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "SEAL Team" (6.578 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and "Criminal Minds" (5.371 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.279 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) opted for repeats of "The Goldbergs" (4.289 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Speechless" (3.181 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11), "Modern Family" (3.478 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and "American Housewife" (2.985 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) plus a new "Match Game" (2.871 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #13).

And finally, new episodes of "Riverdale" (1.390 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14) and "Dynasty" (0.641 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) on The CW (1.015 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (6.551 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) was the top draw on Wednesday with its mix of "Hunted" (5.467 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1), "Criminal Minds" (7.429 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) and "Code Black" (6.758 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4).

NBC (4.584 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) then was among the three networks sharing the silver with repeats of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.648 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10), another "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.668 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4) and "Chicago PD" (4.437 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).

Next up was ABC (3.731 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) and its second run lineup of "The Goldbergs" (4.691 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4), "Speechless" (3.664 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8), "Modern Family" (4.137 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4), "Black-ish" (3.684 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8) and "Match Game" (3.105 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #14).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.627 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) offered up its second "Showtime at the Apollo" (3.196 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) special alongside a new "Star" (4.059 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1).

And finally, a new "Arrow" (1.953 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15) and the return of "The 100" (1.275 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T) closed out the night on The CW (1.614 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5).
