Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Encores Top Demos, CBS Leads Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/26/17):

NBC (4.309 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday with encores of "Ellen's Game of Games" (6.002 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1), "Better Late Than Never" (4.077 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and "Chicago Med" (2.848 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

CBS (6.502 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) then was the most-watched broadcaster with a repeat "NCIS" (7.168 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) followed by "The 40th Annual Kennedy Center Honors" (6.169 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4).

Next up was ABC (3.002 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) with rebroadcasts of "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" (4.080 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2), "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" (3.056 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" (1.869 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.994 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up repeats of "Lethal Weapon" (2.543 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7), "The Mick" (1.493 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and another "The Mick" (1.397 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (0.814 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (0.810 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) likewise rounded out the night for The CW (0.811 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/3 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/1 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/27/16):

CBS (8.926 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) took home top honors on Tuesday with a repeat "NCIS" (9.584 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) and "The 39th Annual Kennedy Center Honors" (8.598 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3).

Second place then went to NBC (3.747 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) with repeats of "The Wall" (4.793 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1), "This Is Us" (3.589 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "Chicago Fire" (2.861 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #10).

Next up was ABC (3.388 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2) and its second run lineup of "The Middle" (4.574 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "American Housewife" (3.731 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.020 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "The Real O'Neals" (2.426 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9) plus a last-minute "20/20" (3.288 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.532 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) opted for repeats of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.546 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11), "New Girl" (1.120 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) and "Bones" (1.731 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12).

And finally, a repeat "The Flash" (0.913 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) and a new "No Tomorrow" (0.601 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) closed out the evening for The CW (0.756 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
