Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Night with "Thursday Night Football"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/7/17):

NBC (10.005 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) continued its NFL reign last night with "Thursday Night Football Pre-Game" (7.600 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4) and "Thursday Night Football" (10.486 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1).

CBS (9.065 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then was the number two draw with originals from "The Big Bang Theory" (14.245 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #2), "Young Sheldon" (12.455 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3), "Mom" (8.817 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5), "Life in Pieces" (6.482 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6) and "SWAT" (6.196 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Next up was ABC (3.916 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its mix of "Shrek the Halls" (4.481 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "Toy Story That Time Forgot" (3.627 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), the return of "The Great American Baking Show" (3.987 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and a second "The Great American Baking Show" (3.709 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.050 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up the fall finale to "Gotham" (2.563 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and the season finale of "The Orville" (3.538 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

And finally, The CW (1.535 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night with the fall finales to "Supernatural" (1.738 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14) and "Arrow" (1.333 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.4 rating, delayed by an NFL overrun; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.6 rating, delayed by an NFL overrun; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly," delayed by an NFL overrun, averaged a 0.9 in metered-market households and a 0.4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (11.853 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.5, #1) was of course the network to beat on Thursday with its "Thursday Night Football Pre-Game" (10.347 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.9, #2) and "Thursday Night Football" (12.153 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1).

CBS (7.021 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was a distant second with a repeat "The Big Bang Theory" (9.682 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) alongside originals from "The Great Indoors" (7.333 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4), "Mom" (7.470 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5), "Life in Pieces" (6.371 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6) and "Pure Genius" (5.636 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7).
