ANIMAL PLANET DELIVERS DOUBLE-DIGIT PRIME TIME GROWTH IN MARCH 2017
Animal Planet up +24% in Total Viewers, +9% in Persons 25-54 and +21% in Women 25-54 in March
All-new and returning series drove Animal Planet to double-digit increases in Prime Time viewership, and increases in Total Day as well in March 2017 vs. March 2016 in L+3. The network also delivered Prime Time growth among Adults 25-54 and double-digit increases in Women 25-54 for the month vs. the same month last year.
During March, Animal Planet was up +24% in Prime Time Total Viewers P2+ (668,000 vs. 538,000) and up +6% in Total Day viewership vs. March 2016. The network was also up in Prime Time ratings for the month in Adults 25-54 (+9%) and double-digits among Women 25-54 (+21%) vs. the same month last year.
March highlights included DR. JEFF: ROCKY MOUNTAIN VET as Animal Planet's most watched series in March with an average of 1.4 million viewers. THE ZOO was the network's most watched freshman series with an average of 1.2 million viewers, followed by NORTH WOODS LAW: NEW HAMPSHIRE with an average of 1 million (1.05m) viewers for the month.
Additionally, the series premiere of NORTH WOODS LAW: NEW HAMPSHIRE on March 5 was the network's highest rated Prime Time series premiere among Adults 25-54 in nearly two years (May 2015) and LONE STAR LAW delivered a series high in Total Viewers on March 5 with 1.1 million viewers.
