Friday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Pulls in Front Among Adults 18-49

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/6/17):

ABC (6.291 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) edged out the competition among adults 18-49 with new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (7.709 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1), "Dr. Ken" (5.534 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7), "Shark Tank" (5.879 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2) and "20/20" (6.372 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2).

CBS (9.736 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was the silver draw with originals from "MacGyver" (8.478 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5), "Hawaii Five-0" (10.021 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (10.711 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4).

Next up was NBC (4.470 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with the return of "Grimm" (4.460 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) followed by the premiere of "Emerald City" (4.698 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7) and a second "Emerald City" (4.251 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.628 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up the Friday premiere of "Rosewood" (3.049 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and the season opener to "Sleepy Hollow" (2.206 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.4/4 with an encore. · At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
