Wedding bells rang in strong ratings for TLC's last Tuesday night premiere of COUNTING ON: JINGER & JEREMY'S WEDDING SPECIAL. Viewers got an inside look into Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo's special day and were also treated to the big reveal of Joy Duggar's budding romance with Austin Forsyth. The Duggar-Vuolo nuptials - turned around by the network in just ten days - delivered 2.3M viewers (L+3 P2+) and was the highest rated episode since the series premiere in March of 2016. In addition, the program was #1 in cable for the night with the hard to reach W18-34 and helped pushed TLC to the #1 spot among ad-supported cable network for the night among all key women demos (W25-54/18-49/18-34).
The success of the night was propelled by a multiplatform content strategy. TLC teased a new Duggar courtship announcement on the show's Facebook page earlier in the afternoon and in less than a day, the video garnered approximately half a million views. The anticipation helped drive viewers to tune-in to Jinger and Jeremy's Wedding Special that evening to find out which Duggar sibling had officially began courting and to hear from the happy couple for the first time! TLC.com also captured record breaking visits to the site with the most visitors in a single day during this season of COUNTING ON.
COUNTING ON returns for a third season of family joys and dramas with all-new episodes in early 2017.
