WORLD SERIES GAME 5 DELIVERS MASSIVE 15.3 OVERNIGHT RATING

Cubs' 3-2 Victory Forces Game 6; Produces Largest Game 5 Rating Since 2003, Highest-Rated MLB Game Since Game 7 of 2011 World Series

Chicago - It's not over yet. Continuing a journey that has captivated the nation, the Chicago Cubs held off elimination with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians in last night's Game 5 of the 2016 World Series on FOX. The nail-biting contest produced a massive 15.3/24 overnight metered market rating/share, the best for a World Series Game 5 since 2003 (15.4/23, New York Yankees-Florida Marlins) and the highest metered-market rating for a Major League Baseball game of any kind since Game 7 of the 2011 World Series (16.3/26, Texas Rangers-St. Louis Cardinals), according to Nielsen Media Research.

World Series Game 5 was the top-rated event of the weekend and is expected to deliver FOX another victory in prime time among the broadcast networks.

Game 5 showed a +31% increase over Game 5 of the 2015 World Series between the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets (vs. 11.7/19), and a +87% lift over Game 5 of the 2014 World Series between the Royals and the San Francisco Giants (vs. 8.2/13).

The local markets demonstrated dominant ratings strength once again as Cleveland led all markets with a 48.6/66 for the potential clinch, the best MLB rating of any kind in the market since Game 7 of the 1997 World Series (Indians-Marlins), while Chicago posted a 42.8/60, its best rating of any kind for a baseball telecast since Game 7 of the 2003 National League Championship Series.

Fast Nationals have been ordered for last night's Game 5 and will be made available later today.
