2016 Radio Disney Music Awards Performs Across Multi-Platform and Social Media; Record 238 Million Votes Cast Worldwide

2016 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS PERFORMS ACROSS MULTI-PLATFORM AND SOCIAL MEDIA; RECORD 238 MILLION VOTES CAST WORLDWIDE

Viewer engagement for Disney's presentation of the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards was at an all-time high according to the latest viewing data and results from multiple platforms, including social media. For its nine telecasts to-date on Disney Channel and Disney XD, the music awards show for families has reached 11.4 million Total Viewers, 6.8 million Kids ages 2-17 and 3.3 million Adults 18-49. Nearly one third of Kids 2-17 watched the telecast with an adult.

A record 238 million votes from around the world were cast across five polling platforms (the Radio Disney App, Disney.com/RDMA, Twitter, Facebook and Google OneBox), more than twice the number of votes recorded in 2015 (+136% - vs. 101 million).

Social engagement was robust leading up to the show (which taped April 30) with "Radio Disney Music Award" content amassing millions to billions of impressions across prominent platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and RadioDisney.com.

· Facebook: Over 47.3 million impressions for "RDMA" related posts from 3/4/16 through 4/30/16.

· Twitter: #RDMA generated over 3.5 billion impressions from voting launch on 3/4/16 through the airdate of the show on 5/1/16 and over 30.1 million impressions for "RDMA" related posts between 3/4/16 and 4/30/16.

· Instagram: Over 6.9 million likes and comments on RDMA related Instagram posts from 3/4/16 through 4/30/16.

· Snapchat: Nearly 3.7 million views for eight "RDMA" specific stories, including the day of the show.

· RadioDisney.com: The RDMA site garnered over 2.3 million visits between 3/4/16 and 5/1/16.

· YouTube: The "RDMA Red Carpet 360 Live Stream" had over 44,000 views on the day of the live show (4/30).

SoundScan data shows that recording artists who performed on the special saw gains in Billboard music sales in the week following the awards telecast, including Kelsea Ballerini's "Peter Pan" +25%, Digital Song +62), Sabrina Carpenter's "Smoke & Fire" (+103%, Hollywood Records), Laura Marano's "Boombox" (+79%, Big Machine Records) and Sofia Carson's "Love Is the Name" (+102%, Republic Records).

Taylor Swift, Fifth Harmony, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were among the top winners which took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and included performances by Ariana Grande, Daya, DNCE, Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld, Jordan Smith, Kelsea Ballerini, Laura Marano, Sabrina Carpenter, Sofia Carson, Zara Larsson and a special performance by 'Hero' Award recipient Gwen Stefani.
