"DATELINE MYSTERY" WINS THE 8-9 P.M. HOUR AMONG THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY MEASURE
In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday Night:
· The April 2 telecast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Peter Dinklage and musical guest Gwen Stefani, averaged a 4.0 rating, 10 share in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 1.9/9 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
· "Saturday Night Live" was the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in both metered-market households and in 18-49 in the local people meters, ahead of all primetime programs on those nets in both measures.
· "Saturday Night Live" grew +8% versus the same night last year in metered-market households (4.0 vs 3.7 on April 4, 2015).
· Note that "SNL" adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with originals growing by +50% going from L+SD to L+7 in adults 18-49 (1.93 to 2.89) and +2.246 million persons in total viewers (6.348 million to 8.594 million).
Saturday Primetime Ratings:
"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.6/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Wins the 8-9 p.m. time period among the Big 4 networks in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
· Grows in all key categories from half-hour to half-hour.
· Increases from half-hour to half-hour by +17% in adults 18-49 (0.6 to 0.7), +22% in adults 25-54 (0.9 to 1.1), +29% in men 25-54 (0.7 to 0.9) and +17% in total viewers (4.2 million to 4.9 million).
NBC Sports' coverage of the "World Figure Skating Championships" (0.4/2 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
· Is up +33% or 0.1 of a point versus the year-ago coverage in adults 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.3 on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 8-10 p.m.) and up +20% in total viewers (2.693 million vs. 2.245 million).
· Ties for #2 among the Big 4 nets in women 18-34 and men 25-54.
For the night, NBC tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in adults, men and women 18-34.
