Friday Primetime Results:
"Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
· Grows +50% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.8 for last week's 10-11 p.m. telecast) and adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.2) and is up 1.4 million persons or +33% in total viewers (5.689 million vs. 4.268 million).
· Hits five-week highs for a Friday telecast in adults 18-49 and total viewers (best since Jan. 22, 1.3 in 18-49, 5.844 million viewers overall).
· Equals its highest Friday rating in nearly a year in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (1.8, matching "Dateline's" best Friday rating since March 6, 2015, 1.9).
· Wins the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key demos.
· Ties as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 (1.2, tied with ABC's "Shark Tank").
· Leads ABC's "20/20" head to head from 10-11 p.m. in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- the prior week's "Dateline" increased by +36% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (0.83 to 1.13) and 1.1 million persons in total viewers (4.3 million vs. 5.4 million).
· Upscale: "Dateline" delivers a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 110 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.
"Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Maintains its adults 18-49 rating half-hour to half-hour (0.7 vs. 0.7).
· Finishes within 0.1 of the prior week's adult 18-49 rating (0.7 vs. 0.8) and maintains 100% in women 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.2).
For the night, NBC finished within 0.1 of a point of #1 among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and tied for #1 among those nets in women 18-49 and women 25-54.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers were the #1-2 late-night shows in 18-49 in the 25 Nielsen markets with local people meters.
· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Fallon (1.0) topped the combined results of CBS's encore "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.3) and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" rebroadcast (0.4).
· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Meyers' encore(0.5) beat Colbert's encore (0.3) and Kimmel's rebroadcast (0.4), despite Meyers' later start time.
· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Carson Daly's rebroadcast (0.3) beat CBS's encore "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.2) despite starting an hour later, tied "Nightline" (0.3) despite starting an hour later and tied Colbert (0.3) despite starting two hours later.
· Fallon's guests Friday night included Nathan Lane, Keri Russell and Mary Lynn Rajskub.
· Meyers' guests Friday included John Oliver, Aidy Bryant and April Bloomfield (encore).
· Daly's guest Friday included Stephen James, Lenny Abrahamson and musical guest Lower Dens (encore).
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,"1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
