The matchup scored a 21.1/42 fast national rating/share according to Nielsen Media Research, in line with the average of the previous three years for the 1:00 PM ET Sunday NFC Divisional Game on FOX (21.4/42 - 36.6 million viewers), a notable feat considering the Panthers owned a 31-0 lead at halftime.
Last year's record-setting Divisional Playoff matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers on FOX posted a 24.9/48 with 44.4 million viewers), while the 2014 Divisional Playoff between the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers, scored a 19.9/41 with 33.3 million viewers.
