ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest - Part 1" Tops Its Combined NBC and Fox Competition in Viewers and Young Adults

"New Year's Rockin' Eve-Part 1" Is Up in Adults 18-34 and Across Key Men

ABC's 2015 New Year's Eve Reach:

According to Nielsen, ABC's 2015 New Year's Eve coverage reached 59.212 million unique Viewers 2+ during primetime and late-night, up 16% year over year (vs. 50.837 million last year) - unduplicated viewers that watched 6 minutes or more of the programming. In addition, the show's young adult reach surged 19% year to year to 23.002 million Adults 18-49 (vs.19.327 million last year).

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 1" (11:30 p.m. -12:39 a.m.):

Airing against ESPN's high-rated Cotton Bowl coverage, ABC's annual broadcast of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest - Part 1" delivered an average audience of 22.0 million Total Viewers and a 7.1 rating, 27 share among Adults 18-49 (9.0 million). The show's audience peaked at 12:01 a.m. with an average of 35.279 million Total Viewers, up 7% from the same minute last year.

· In viewers and young adults, "New Year's Rockin' Eve" ranked as ABC's top entertainment telecast since February with the 2015 "Oscars(R)" - since 02/22/15.

· ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 1" topped the combined delivery of NBC's "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly - Late Night" and Fox's "Pitbull's New Year's Eve Revolution" by 75% in Total Viewers (22.0 million vs. 12.6 million - NBC and Fox combined) and 58% in Adults 18-49 (9.0 million vs. 5.7 million).

· Opposite increased competition, "NYRE Part 1" grew year to year with Adults 18-34 (+2% - 5.7/27 vs. 5.6/26), Men 18-34 (+8% - 5.3/26 vs. 4.9/24), Men 18-49 (+5% - 6.8/26 vs. 6.5/25) and Men 25-54 (+3% - 7.7/25 vs. 7.5/25), while holding steady in Adults 18-49 (7.1/27 vs. 7.2/27).

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 2" (1:09-2:07 a.m.):

Despite its late time period, the second segment of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest - Part 2" attracted an average audience of 6.8 million Total Viewers and a 2.4 rating, 13 share in Adults 18-49 (3.1 million).

· The final segment of the show was up year to year in Total Viewers (+1% - 6.8 million vs. 6.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+4% - 2.4/13 vs. 2.3/13), drawing its 2nd-biggest-ever overall audience - ABC began airing Part 2 in 2000.
