"DATELINE NBC" EQUALS ITS HIGHEST FRIDAY 18-49 RATING SINCE MARCH
Friday Primetime Results:
"Undateable" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET):
· With a live telecast, matched its highest 18-49 rating since Oct. 16 (0.9).
· Hit a season high in total viewers.
· Grew by +14% versus its prior telecast on Dec. 11 in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7) and by +15% in total viewers (3.155 million vs. 2.741 million).
· Will add significant viewership via time-shifting - "Undateable" has increased by +33% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 0.76 to a 1.01) and 525,000 viewers overall (2.7 million to 3.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: "Undateable" is delivering a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 108 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" including L+3).
An encore telecast of "Superstore" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET).
"Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
· Equaled its season high in 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.6), and matched its highest Friday 18-49 rating since March 20, 2015 (1.3).
· Increased by +20% versus last week in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.0), by +14% in 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.4) and by +17% in total viewers (5.595 million vs. 4.787 million).
· For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., outrates ABC's "20/20" in every key measure.
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting - Friday's "Dateline NBC" has grown by +29% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 0.98 to a 1.26) and 985,000 viewers overall (4.7 million to 5.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Fallon (1.0) TOPPED the combined results of CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.4) and ABC's rebroadcast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.5).
· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Meyers' encore (0.6) beat Colbert (0.4) and Kimmel's rebroadcast (0.5), despite Meyers' later start time.
· In 18-49, Carson Daly's encore (0.4) doubled Corden's rebroadcast (0.2), despite starting an hour later, beat "Nightline" (0.3), despite starting 90 minutes later, and tied Colbert (0.4), despite starting two hours later.
· Fallon's guests Thursday night included Tyler Perry, Wagner Moura and Iliza Shlesinger.
· Meyers' guests Thursday included Viola Davis, Allison Tolman and The Scottos (encore).
· Daly's guests Thursday night included Rachel Bloom, Lena Waithe and musical guest Houndmouth (encore).
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.3/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
