Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Empire" Continues Demo Reign for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/25/15):

FOX (6.872 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) was still the demo champ on Wednesday with new episodes of "Rosewood" (4.633 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Empire" (9.111 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1).

The silver then went to CBS (7.982 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) with new episodes of "Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance" (8.328 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T2), a second "Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance" (8.038 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T2) and "Code Black" (7.582 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4).

Next up was ABC (4.141 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and its all-repeat lineup of "The Middle" (5.898 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5), "The Goldbergs" (5.154 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Modern Family" (4.679 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Black-ish" (4.091 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9) and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (2.511 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.446 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up its special "Making of The Wiz Live!" (2.800 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) and a rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving" (3.769 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9).

And finally, The CW (1.731 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening with the feature "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" (1.731 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/26/14):

CBS (9.310 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) closed the November sweeps period on top thanks to new episodes of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" (8.926 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2), "Criminal Minds" (10.855 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) and "Stalker" (8.150 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4).

ABC (5.165 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then claimed the silver with its encore lineup of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (8.044 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2), "Modern Family" (5.329 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5), "Black-ish" (4.238 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6) and "Nashville" (2.670 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

Next up was NBC (3.696 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with its specials "The Making of Peter Pan Live!" (3.023 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving" (4.033 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.981 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up originals from "Hell's Kitchen" (3.470 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7) and "Red Band Society" (2.492 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9).

And finally, the feature "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (2.073 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) on The CW (2.073 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the film posted a 0.4 rating.
