Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week by +10% in both 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0) and total viewers (5.574 million vs. 5.081 million).
· For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Dateline NBC" tied ABC's "20/20" head to head in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1 for that hour) and outrated "20/20" in adults 25-54 (by a +14% margin, 1. 6 vs. 1.4 from 10-11), total viewers (by a +27% margin, 5.8 million vs. 4.6 million) and all key adult-female demos. For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Dateline" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in women 18-34 and women 18-49.
· "Dateline NBC" increased its 18-49 rating with each succeeding half-hour and grew +33% from its first half-hour to its fourth (0.9 to 1.2).
· An encore telecast of "The Player" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) captured NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period in six weeks (since Aug. 21, 3.6 million for an "America's Got Talent" encore).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.8/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.7/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.2/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
