NBC WINS WEDNESDAY AMONG THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY MEASURE
'LAST COMIC' AND 'TALENT' 10TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL WIN THEIR SLOTS AMONG THOSE NETS IN ALL KEY CATEGORIES
'LAST COMIC' MAINTAINS 100% OF LAST WEEK'S 10-11 P.M. RATING, GENERATES ITS 2ND-MOST WATCHED EPISODE SINCE 2008
'TALENT' HITS THREE-MONTH TIME-PERIOD HIGHS, EXCLUDING SPORTS
Wednesday Results:
NBC won Wednesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
· "Last Comic Standing 9" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 100% of last week's 10-11 p.m. rating for the show's season premiere and 93% of last week's 1.5 rating from 9-11 p.m. (and note that last night's episode is extremely close to rounding up to a 1.5 (currently at a 1.449 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).
· In total viewers, last night's "Last Comic Standing" is up +3% versus last week's 10-11 p.m. result (5.805 million vs. 5.647 million) and retains 95% of last week's 6.099 million from 9-11, which made it the show's most-watched telecast since the fifth-cycle finale on Sept. 19, 2007.
· This is the second-most-watched "Last Comic" since the sixth-cycle premiere on May 22, 2008 (5.858 million).
· "Last Comic Standing" ranks #1 in the time period among the Big 4 nets in every key measure. It's the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in total viewers, behind only "Talent."
· "Last Comic Standing" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting - last week's "Last Comic" increased by +22% going from L+SD to L+3 (1.55 to 1.89) and by 833,000 viewers overall (6.1 million vs. 6.9 million).
· "America's Got Talent: 10 Year Anniversary Special" (1.6/6 in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 networks in every key measure.
· "America's Got Talent: 10 Year Anniversary Special" delivered NBC's best 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, since April 8 (2.0 in 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall for "Voice" and "SVU").
· "America's Got Talent: 10 Year Anniversary Special" is the #1 show of the night in total viewers.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.9/8; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
