SCIENCE CHANNEL'S "DIRECT FROM PLUTO" DELIVERS RECORD VIEWERSHIP ON JULY 15
On the heels of Science Channel delivering its most watched second quarter ever, DIRECT FROM PLUTO: THE FIRST ENCOUNTER on Wednesday, July 15, at 10 PM broke into the network top 15 telecasts of all time in Total Viewers P2+ in Live +3.
DIRECT FROM PLUTO: THE FIRST ENCOUNTER delivered 815,000 Total Viewers P2+, landing at #13 in the ranking of all telecasts in network history. Additionally, the special earned a .5 rating with an average of 380,000 viewers in Persons 25-54, up +12% vs. the network's most recent topical special, Landing on a Comet: Rosetta Mission which delivered a .4 rating with an average of 339,000 viewers in Persons 25-54 on November 12, 2014.
DIRECT FROM PLUTO: THE FIRST ENCOUNTER provided Science Channel viewers with the very first close-up images of Pluto's surface and its moons with leading experts sharing their insight. The special was produced for Science Channel by Canada's Exploration Production Inc. (EPI). Discovery Canada.
