"DATELINE" MATCHES ITS HIGHEST FRIDAY RATING SINCE APRIL 3, JUMPING WEEK TO WEEK BY +57% IN 18-49 AND 1.2 MILLION VIEWERS OVERALL
FRIDAY'S 'AMERICA' GOT TALENT' ENCORE GROWS +29% WEEK TO WEEK
Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) equaled the show's highest 18-49 rating for a Friday telecast since April 3 (1.2).
· "Dateline NBC" grew +57% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.7), +36% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.1) and +33% or 1.2 million persons in total viewers (4.908 million vs. 3.624 million).
· Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Dateline NBC" held steady half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1) and grew +7% in adults 25-54 (1.4 to 1.5) and +11% in women 25-54 (1.8 to 2.0).
· "Dateline NBC" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- the prior week's telecast grew by +28% going from L+SD to L+3 (0.75 to 0.96) and by 661,000 persons in total viewers (3.6 million to 4.3 million).
· An encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) increased +29% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.7 for a June 19 encore in this same slot). The "Talent" encore grew +24% in total viewers week to week (3.869 million vs. 3.122 million).
· In the time period, the "America's Got Talent" rebroadcast tied for #1 among non-sports programs on the Big 4 in men 18-49 and adults 18-34 and was #1 outright among non-sports show on those nets in men 18-34.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6 with an encore telecast; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4 with an encore; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
