Ranks #1 With Adults 18-49 In Timeslot On Cable
New York, NY, June 4, 2015 - "Lip Sync Battle" has been a ratings champion for Spike since launch on April 2, delivering record viewership for the network. Over the past 9 weeks, "Lip Sync Battle" is ranked #1 in its timeslot in all of cable TV with Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49 and among all cable entertainment series with Men 18-49. The original series averaged 2.9 million viewers and has improved the network's timeslot with the key demographic of Adults 18-49 by 161%.
"Lip Sync Battle" also delivered a staggering 177 million cross-platform streams across Spike's owned and operated properties as well as Facebook and YouTube, with Anne Hathaway's "wrecking ball" clip alone garnering 15 million.
The most recent episode, airing on Thursday, May 28 featuring Queen Latifah vs. Marlon Wayans, ranked #1 in all of television with Adults 18-49, Men 18-49, Women 18-49, and Adults 18-34.
Season 1 will take a brief hiatus in June and will continue with new episodes on Thursday, July 9 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
The broad reach of the "Lip Sync Battle" has played a key role in the network's successful shift in targeting a more general audience.
