'TALENT' AND 'I CAN DO THAT' ARE THE #1-2 SHOWS OF THE NIGHT ON THE BIG 4 IN EVERY KEY DEMO
NBC WINS SIX OF SIX HALF-HOURS IN 18-49 AMONG THE BIG 4
'I CAN DO THAT,' THE TOP-DEBUTING NEW SUMMER SERIES OF THE PAST TWO SEASONS, WINS THE 10 P.M. HOUR BY A +67% MARGIN VS. ORIGINAL ABC-CBS COMPETITON
Tuesday Results:
· "America's Got Talent" (2.4/9 in 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.
· In the time period, "America's Got Talent" finished #1 among the Big 4 in every key measure and more than doubled the #2 show on the Big 4 in the time slot in every key demo.
· "America's Got Talent" retained 92% of its 2.6 rating in 18-49 for last week's season premiere, the #1 show of the week on the Big 4.
· "America's Got Talent" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting: Last week's "Talent" increased by +25% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (2.63 to 3.29). In total viewers, "Talent" grew by 2.0 million persons (from 11.1 million to 13.1 million).
· "I Can Do That" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) ranks as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in every key demo, behind only "Talent."
· In the time period, "I Can Do That" finished #1 among the hour's ABC-CBS-NBC originals in all key demos - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. "I Can Do That" won the slot versus both the ABC and CBS original competition by a +67% margin (1.5 vs. 0.9).
· "I Can Do That" retained 83% of last week's 1.8, which was the highest 18-49 rating for a summer series premiere on the Big 4 since CBS's "Under the Dome" launched with a 3.3 on Monday, June 24, 2013.
· "I Can Do That" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting: Last week's "I Can Do That" increased by 0.22 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3(1.77 to 1.99), the biggest increase for an NBC alternative-series premiere in three years, since "Off Their Rockers" grew by 0.35 (1.89 to 2.24) with its April 4, 2012 debut. In total viewers, "I Can Do That" increased by 679,000 persons (from 6.4 million to 7.1 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; CBS's "Mentalist" rebroadcast, 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "The Mentalist" rebroadcast, 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
