'GRIMM' GROWS +11% WEEK TO WEEK, MATCHES A FOUR-HIGH IN 18-49
'DATELINE NBC' INCREASES +10% VS. LAST WEEK, REPORTS A FIVE-WEEK HIGH
Friday Primetime Results:
· "Grimm" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is up +11% week to week in adults 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9) and up +1% in total viewers (4.284 million vs. 4 224 million), to match its highest 18-49 rating since April 10 (1.1).
· In the time period, "Grimm" tied for #2 in the hour among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49.
· "Grimm" will grow substantially via time-shifted viewing -- "Grimm" first-runs are increasing by +85% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.18 to a 2.18) and 2.7 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) increased by +10% versus the prior week in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0), to the show's top Friday rating since April 3 (1.2). In total viewers, "Dateline" is up +5% week to week (5.699 million vs. 5.436 million) to a five-week high (best since April 3, 5.9 million).
· In the time period, "Dateline NBC" tied for #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those nets in women 25-54 (with a 2.1 rating).
· For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "Dateline NBC" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and is #1 outright among those nets from 10-11 in adults 25-54 (1.8) and all key adult-female demos. Head to head in that hour, "Dateline" outdelivered ABC's "20/20" in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.6) and total viewers (6.1 million vs. 5.0 million).
· From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline NBC" grew by +44% in adults 18-49 (0.9 to 1.3), +29% in adults 25-54 (1.4 to 1.8) and +25% or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers (5.0 million to 6.2 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.8/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.3/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
