"48 HOURS: THE VERDICT" IS SATURDAY'S #1 PRIMETIME PROGRAM IN ADULTS 25-54 AND VIEWERS
48 HOURS: "The Verdict" was Saturday's #1 primetime program in adults 25-54 (tied), the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news, and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 25.
48 HOURS delivered 5.01 million viewers and a 1.2/04 in adults 25-54. 48 HOURS was also #1 at 10:00 PM with adults 25-54 as well as viewers.
Saturday's broadcast featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS investigation into the case against Anita Smithey, a Florida woman who was found guilty of second-degree murder for killing her estranged husband, Robert Cline, in her bed. Smithey claimed it happened during a violent rape in which she felt Cline would kill her. Police and Cline's family say it was a cold-hearted murder.
