Friday Primetime Results:
'GRIMM' IS STEADY WEEK TO WEEK IN ADULTS 18-49, GROWS IN MEN AND WOMEN 18-49, ADULTS, MEN AND WOMEN 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS
'DATELINE' MAINTAINS 100% OF LAST WEEK'S 9-11 P.M. RATINGS IN 18-49 AND 25-54
· "Grimm" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 and grew +3% week to week in total viewers (4.697 million vs. 4.542 million), +14% in men 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7), +8% in women 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2), +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.4), +9% in men 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.1) and +6% in women 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.7).
· In the time period, "Grimm" tied for #2 among the Big 4 in adults 25-54 and men 18-49 and ranked #2 outright among those nets in men 25-54.
· "Grimm" will grow substantially with time-shifted viewing: The previous week's "Grimm" increased by +71% in L+3 vs. L+SD in 18-49 rating (0.98 to 1.68) and in total viewers by more than 1.9 million persons (4.5 million to 6.5 million).
· "Dateline NBC" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) equaled last week's 9-11 p.m. rating in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9 on April 17 with a 9-10 p.m. repeat and a 10-11 p.m. original), despite last night's competition from a special edition of "20/20." Last night's "Dateline" also matched the prior week's 9-11 p.m. result in adults 25-54 (1.3 vs. 1.3).
· From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased by +43% in adults 18-49 (0.7 to 1.0), +21% in adults 25-54 (1.1 to 1.4) and +11% in total viewers (4.1 million to 4.6 million).
· "Dateline NBC" will grow significantly with time-shifted viewing: The prior week's Friday "Dateline" grew by +21% in L+3 vs. L+SD in 18-49 rating (1.01 to 1.22) and in total viewers by 724,000 persons (5.3 million to 6.0 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.5/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 3.0/7 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/6 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 2.1/6 in metered-market households and a 0.9/5 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.3/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
