Friday Primetime Results:
· "Grimm" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the time period in adults 18-49, running within 0.1 of the slot lead among the Big 4. "Grimm" tied for #1 among those nets in adults 25-54 (1.4) and men 25-54 (1.1).
· "Grimm" retained 91% of the prior week's adult 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 1.1), 100% of last week's adult 18-34 result (0.5 vs. 0.5) and grew +17% in women 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.6) and +6% in women 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.6).
· "Grimm" will add substantial audience via time-shifting -- "Grimm" first-runs are growing by +86% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.21 to a 2.25) and more than 2.7 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· An encore telecast of "Dateline NBC" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour in nearly all key measures, increasing from its first half-hour to its second by +14% in adults 18-49 (0.7 to 0.8), +18% in adults 25-54 (1.1 to 1.3) and +14% in women 25-54 (1.4 to 1.6). NOTE: The 9 p.m. "Dateline" was preempted in several markets for a "Outnumber Hunger" special and these results are subject to downward adjustment.
· An original "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by +25% in adults 18-49, +25% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.2) and +15% in total viewers. Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Dateline" held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures.
· L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by +24% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.24 to a 1.55) and 946,000 viewers overall (6.2 million to 7.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden " (1.1/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
