Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Demos with "Survivor"

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/15/15):

CBS (9.243 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was the network to beat on Wednesday thanks to new episodes of "Survivor: Worlds Apart" (9.437 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1), "Criminal Minds" (10.202 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3) and "CSI: Cyber" (8.090 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7).

ABC (5.859 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "The Middle" (7.440 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4), "The Goldbergs" (6.853 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), a repeat "Modern Family" (5.961 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6), a second "The Goldbergs" (5.692 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4) and "Nashville" (4.604 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9).

Next up was FOX (7.491 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and another two-hour "American Idol" (7.491 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.223 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) offered up repeats of its trio "The Mysteries of Laura" (4.546 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.018 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and "Chicago PD" (4.107 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (2.408 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) and "Supernatural" (1.829 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) on The CW (2.119 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.7 rating while the latter posted a 0.6 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (7.668 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "Survivor: Cagayan" (9.281 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) alongside repeats of "Criminal Minds" (6.924 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (6.801 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

Next up was NBC (4.688 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and its all-repeat lineup of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.699 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9), another "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (5.180 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #5) and "Chicago PD" (4.186 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.807 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up its mix of "The Middle" (4.884 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Suburgatory" (3.574 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T10), "Modern Family" (5.072 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), a new "Mixology" (3.704 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Nashville" (2.804 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12).
