Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "Shark Tank" Paves the Way for ABC Victory

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/20/15):

ABC (6.282 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) was the top draw on Friday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (7.056 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2), "Cristela" (5.466 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9), "Shark Tank" (7.455 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "20/20" (5.131 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6).

NBC (6.114 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) then claimed the silver with the return of "Grimm" (4.905 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (6.719 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2).

Next up was CBS (3.809 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and its coverage of "NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" (4.147 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4), "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Update" (3.335 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6) and more "NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" (3.539 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.610 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up a new "Glee" (2.695 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10) followed by the series finale of "Glee" (2.526 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11).

And finally, a new "Hart of Dixie" (1.363 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) and a rebroadcast of "iZombie" (1.283 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) on The CW (1.323 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said duo posted a 0.6 and 0.4 rating, respectively.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore delayed by basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.6/2 with an encore delayed by basketball). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore delayed by basketball).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (6.837 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was still the network to beat on Friday with its mix of a "Last Man Standing" (4.585 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8) repeat followed by originals from "The Neighbors" (3.783 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8), "Shark Tank" (8.048 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "20/20" (8.278 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

NBC (5.365 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then took home the silver with fresh installments of "Dateline NBC" (7.578 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4), "Grimm" (5.728 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and "Hannibal" (2.791 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T8).

Next up was CBS (3.915 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and its coverage of the "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship: Cal Poly #16 vs. Wichita St. #1" (3.334 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Update" (3.980 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #6) and "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship: Kansas St. #9 vs. Kentucky #8" (4.753 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.628 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) offered up a new "Rake" (1.921 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13), a repeat "Enlisted" (1.251 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and a new "Raising Hope" (1.421 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14).

And finally, the return of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.905 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11), a second "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
