"GRIMM" MAINTAINS ITS FULL PRIOR FIRST-RUN RATING DESPITE MOVING TO 8 P.M. AND GOING FIVE WEEKS BETWEEN ORIGINALS
Friday Primetime Results:
· "Grimm" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of the rating for its prior original in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1 at 9 p.m. on Feb. 13), despite moving to the lower-viewership 8-9 p.m. ET hour and despite this week's NCAA basketball competition. "Grimm" delivered its most-watched episode since Jan. 23 (5.024 million), currently up +1% versus its previous original on Feb. 13 (4.904 million vs. 4.860 million).
· With its first original telecast in five weeks, "Grimm" tied for #1 among non-sports programs in the time period on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49.
· "Grimm" will add substantial audience via time-shifting -- "Grimm" first-runs are growing by +86% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.23 to a 2.29) and more than 2.7 million viewers overall (5.0 million to 7.7 million) going from L+SD to L+7. "Grimm" is this season's #1 Friday scripted series on the Big 4 in "most current" ratings averages in 18-49 and is within 0.1 of ABC's "Shark Tank" for #1 among all Friday Big 4 series this season.
· "Dateline NBC" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) equaled its highest Friday 18-49 rating since Nov. 21 (1.5 from 8-9 p.m.) and delivered its top Friday total-viewer result since Dec. 19 (6.768 million from 9-11 p.m. ET). "Dateline" grew by +8% week to week in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2) and by +20% or 1.1 million persons in total viewers (6.719 million vs. 5.605 million).
· "Dateline NBC" is the night's #1 newsmagazine in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.
· "Dateline NBC" is currently winning its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.
· L+7: Friday's "Dateline" is increasing by +24% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.23 to a 1.53) and 929,000 viewers overall (6.2 million to 7.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.1/3 with an encore delayed by basketball; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.5/6.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore delayed by basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.6/2 with an encore delayed by basketball). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore delayed by basketball).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
