48 HOURS: "Dangerous Games" was Saturday's #1 broadcast at 10:00 PM with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 14.
At 10:00 PM, 48 HOURS averaged 5.46 million viewers and posted a 1.2/03 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.
Saturday's broadcast featured Troy Roberts and 48 HOURS' investigation into the events leading to the disappearance and death of University of New Hampshire sophomore Lizzi Marriott in 2012. Marriott was enticed out for a night of fun by a friend. Little did she know that her friend Kat McDonough was bringing her home at the urging of her boyfriend, Seth Mazzaglia, who wanted the three of them to participate in BDSM - bondage and sadomasochism.
When Marriott said no, Mazzaglia killed her, McDonough told police. They then dumped her body in a nearby river. Marriott has never been found. Mazzaglia was convicted of murder in 2014. McDonough is serving a three-year sentence for hindering prosecution.
48 HOURS: "Dangerous Games" is produced by Sarah Prior, Sara Ely Hulse and Bruce Spiegel. Maria Barrow, Kevin Dean and Michelle Harris are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
