Friday Primetime Results:
· "Constantine" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled the prior week's 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 and grew week to week by +14% or 0.1 of a point in men 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.7).
· "Constantine" will add substantial audience via time-shifting, last week having increased by +64% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.81 to a 1.33) and 1.2 million viewers overall (3.3 million to 4.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· "Grimm" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) equaled last week's 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 in these preliminary fast nationals and finished within 0.1 of last week's 1.3 in official nationals, which matched "Grimm's" highest rating since the show's Oct. 24 season premiere (1.4).
· "Grimm" will add substantial audience via time-shifting, last week increasing by +76% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.26 to a 2.22) and 2.5 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 7.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· Last week's gain of 0.96 of a rating point in L+3 for "Grimm" in 18-49 was the show's biggest L+3 increase of the season, bumping the show up to its highest 18-49 rating (2.22) since Nov. 21.
· "Dateline NBC" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 99% of last week's total-viewer result (4.489 million vs. 4.525 million).
· This week's "Dateline NBC" grew from half-hour to half-hour, despite the 10 p.m. hour, by +10% in adults 18-49 (1.0 to 1.1), +14% in adults 25-54 (1.4 to 1.6) and +22% in men 25-54 (0.9 to 1.1). In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Dateline" ranked #2 (and was the #1 newsmagazine) among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 25-54, men 25-54, women 25-54 (tie) and adults 18-49.
· L+3: The prior week's "Dateline" on Jan. 23 grew by +27% or 0.35 of a point in 18-49 rating (from a 1.17 to a 1.49) and 970,000 viewers overall (5.5 million to 5.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
