Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos with "SNL Christmas"

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/22/14):

NBC (4.924 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the top draw on Monday with its annual "SNL Christmas" (4.902 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) special followed by a new "State of Affairs" (4.969 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

CBS (7.268 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (8.575 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2), "Mike & Molly" (8.474 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1), "Scorpion" (6.539 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.742 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

Next up was ABC (5.371 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with a new "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (5.525 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), the finale of "The Great Christmas Light Fight" (6.142 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) and a repeat "Castle" (4.445 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9).

Meanwhile, The CW (1.350 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) served up encores of "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball" (1.506 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10) and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.883 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.4 rating while the latter posted a 0.4 rating.

And finally, repeats of "Gotham" (1.835 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10) and "Sleepy Hollow" (1.344 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) closed out the evening on FOX (1.589 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (4.614 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then claimed the silver with the season finale of "The Sing-Off" (5.192 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) alongside a special "Hollywood Game Night" (3.457 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10).

Next up was CBS (4.869 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with repeats of "How I Met Your Mother" (4.669 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "2 Broke Girls" (5.027 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), "Mike & Molly" (5.666 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), "Mom" (4.974 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9) and "Elementary" (4.437 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.153 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) served up encores of "Almost Human" (2.310 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) and "Sleepy Hollow" (1.995 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12).

And finally, The CW (0.979 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with a rebroadcast of "The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013" (0.979 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the special managed a 0.4 rating.
