The CW Has its Most Watched Night Since "The Flash" Series Debut
December 10, 2014 (Burbank, CA) - Coming off of last week's huge crossover episode, THE FLASH midseason finale rose +7% week to week in total viewers (4.66M) for its most watched episode since its series premiere, while SUPERNATURAL scared up its most watched (2.62M) episode of the season, according to national Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, December 9, 2014.
THE FLASH was #1 in the hour on broadcast in men 18-34 (1.5/6), and #2 in men 18-49 (1.9/6). It held nearly even with last week's episode in adults 18-34 (1.3/5) and in adults 18-49 (1.5/5).
THE FLASH was the #1 show in the hour among adults 18-34 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco (tie), Detroit, Sacramento, and Baltimore.
At 9 p.m., SUPERNATURAL matched its season highs in both men 18-34 (1.2/5), and in men 18-49 (1.1/3).
SUPERNATURAL also ranked #1 for the hour in men 18-34, and ranked #3 for the hour (tie) in adults 18-34 (1.0/3).
Week to week, SUPERNATURAL was up +13% in total viewers, +25% in adults 18-34, +33% in men 18-34, +11% in adults 18-49, and +10% in men 18-49.
Compared to last season's winter finale, SUPERNATURAL rose +8% in total viewers, +50% in men 18-34, and +22% in men 18-49.
Last night was The CW's most watched night (3.66M), of any day of the week, since the series premiere of THE FLASH on 10/7/14. The network held even with last week in adults 18-34 (1.1/4) and in adults 18-49 (1.3/4).
The CW ranked #1 for the night (8-10pm) among men 18-34 (1.3/5).
