"Dateline" Reports NBC's Highest 18-49 Rating in the Hour, Excluding Sports, Since May 16
NBC spins the numbers for Friday, October 31.

Friday Primetime Results:

Despite Halloween distractions, last night's "Dateline NBC" won the 8-9 p.m. hour and delivered NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period since March.

· "Dateline NBC" (1.3/6 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) won the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54; and total viewers. Week to week, "Dateline" is up +18% in adults 18-49 (from a 1.1 to a 1.3), +13% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.8) and +15% in total viewers (7.262 million vs. 6.325 million).

· "Dateline" reported NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the hour, excluding sports, since May 16 (pending Nielsen corrections of earlier weeks' results) and delivered NBC's biggest overall audience in the slot in seven months (since March 28).

· "Grimm" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) tied for the #1 scripted series on the Big 4 in the hour in adults 18-49 and was #1 outright among scripted shows on those networks in women 18-49 (1.3).

· "Grimm" tied for the #1 drama of the night in adults 18-49.

· "Grimm" will add substantial audience via time-shifting, having last season increased by an average of +82% when L+7 ratings were added to these next-day L+SD results (from a 1.40 to a 2.55)

· "Constantine" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 82% of its adult 18-49 lead-in from "Grimm." "Constantine" also retained 90% of its lead-in in men 18-49 (0.9 vs. 1.0), held 83% in adults 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.6) and retained 100% in men 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.5).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.4/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
