Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) is up +8% in 18-49 (1.4 vs. 1.3) and up +6% in total viewers versus its year-ago premiere-week results (1.3/4 in 18-49, 6.495 million viewers from 9-11 on Sept. 27, 2013).
· "Dateline NBC" reported its highest Friday 18-49 rating in six months (since March 28, a 1.5) and biggest overall viewership in three months (since May 30, 7.111 million).
· In the time period, "Dateline" ranks #2 among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 (0.9) and adults 25-54 (1.9, tied with CBS) versus competition from season premieres of ABC's "Shark Tank" and "20/20" and CBS's "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods."
· An encore telecast of "The Mysteries of Laura" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since July 25 and delivered the net's biggest audience in the slot since that same date. From its first half-hour to its second, the "Laura" rebroadcast grew in every key ratings measure, including a gain of +14% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 from a 0.7).
· NBC tied for #2 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 (1.2 rating each for NBC and CBS) and was #2 outright among those nets in women 18-49 and women 18-34.
"Live Plus Three Day" Results for Monday, Sept. 22:
In "live plus three day" Nielsen, "The Blacklist" (4.87 rating in adults 18-49, 17.361 million viewers overall):
· Set a new series record of 17.4 million viewers in L+3, topping the previous high of 16.9 million in L+3 set with last year's series-premiere telecast on Sept. 23, 2013.
· Grew by more than 5 million persons in total viewers from L+SD to L+3 (12.341 million vs. 17.361 million).
· Now has 12 of the top 13 L+3 total-viewer lifts in U.S. television history, including each of the top four.
· Delivered its highest L+3 rating in 18-49 since Dec. 2, 2013 (4.88), the show's fall finale.
· Grew in 18-49 by 1.49 rating points or +44%, up from a year-ago increase of +1.28 or +33% for the series premiere on Sept. 23, 2013.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.0/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
