BBC AMERICA'S "INTRUDERS" PULLS 1.223 MILLION VIEWERS
BBC AMERICA'S HIGHEST RATED NEW SERIES PREMIERE FOR SUPERNATURAL SATURDAY IN LIVE+3-DAY
New York - August 29, 2014 - BBC AMERICA's new eight part paranormal thriller, Intruders, delivers the channel its biggest Supernatural Saturday series premiere ever in Live+3-Day, earning 1.223 million Total Viewers and 623,000 in A25-54. Its +77% growth among A25-54 over its Live+SD ranks ahead of the series premieres of both Atlantis (+38%) and Orphan Black (+29%). The series premiered on Saturday, August 23, 10:00pm ET and is the channel's second highest series premiere ever in Live+3-Day.
From writer and executive producer Glen Morgan (The X-Files), Intruders is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. Starring John Simm, Mira Sorvino, James Frain, Millie Brown and Tory Kittles, the series is based on British novelist Michael Marshall Smith's 'The Intruders' and produced by BBC Worldwide Productions.
Ahead of the holiday weekend, BBC AMERICA is previewing the entire second episode of Intruders on VOD, BBCAmerica.com and BBC AMERICA's YouTube channel.
