Thursday Primetime Results (Preseason NFL preemptions occurred in Indianapolis and Jacksonville on NBC, Pittsburgh on CBS and Philadelphia on ABC):
"Welcome to Sweden" returned after last week's preemption with two episodes that are each currently equaling the show's top 18-49 rating since July 24, pending updates.
· "Welcome to Sweden" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) is currently up 0.2 of a rating point or +40% versus the show's prior telecast on Aug. 7 and up +11% in total viewers (2.431 million vs. 2.189 million), pending updates. Last night's telecast is also currently matching the episode before that on July 31 in 18-49 (0.7) to equal the top "Sweden" rating since July 24 (0.8).
· A second telecast of "Welcome to Sweden" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) is currently retaining 100% of its 18-49 lead-in, pending updates, to tie the show's highest 18-49 rating since July 24 (0.8).
· The 9:30 edition of "Welcome to Sweden" is currently equaling NBC's second-best rating in this 9:30-10 p.m. time period since June 26, trailing over that span only last week's "Last Comic" finale.
· An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) is currently #2 in the time period on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, total viewers and most other key measures, pending updates. "Hollywood Game Night" is currently retaining 90% of last week's 18-49 rating (0.9 vs. 1.0) and 99.7% of last week's total-viewer result (3.686 million vs. 3.698 million), pending updates.
· "Hollywood Game Night" is currently growing by +11% from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9) and by +27% in adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.1).
· A rebroadcast of "America's Got Talent" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) is currently growing by +15% from half-hour to half-hour in total viewers (to 2.5 million viewers from 2.2 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
